Meet Our Wonderful Teachers
TAMARA ARNOLDYTeaches art for a variety of ages and is part of the Art in the Public Schools teaching staff. She is a graduate of OCU and studied at London School of Design.
JULIE ATYIAAn experienced and enthusiastic music education teacher. She received her BA in Vocal Music at OSU & her Masters at the University of Central Oklahoma.
JOHN CAMPBELLA versatile man. He is a cartoonist for commercials and education, a webmaster, and artist. John received his Doctorate in Philosophy in Anatomical Science at OU. Dr. Campbell currently is Section Chief for Speech Pathology at VA Health Care System
STEPHANIE CARELHer experience in business administration led her to start her own jewelry design business, Silverleaf Gems. She is an expert instructor and also a very active member of the Downtown Edmond Business Association and community leader.
TIM HALLERHe comes with a BA of Arts from OK Baptist University and a MEd from East Central University. His passion is creating artwork and teaching others what he knows!
JENNIFER HUSTISAn accomplished artist, teacher and horse whisperer. Jennifer’s stunning artwork can be seen in corporation buildings and homes across the United States. Jennifer is one of our Art in Schools teachers and she received her Masters of Art from Pratt University in NYC.
KATE KETTNERShe received her BFA from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in ceramics and painting. She has taught elementary art in OKCPS, but is currently teaching ceramics and visual art at Edmond North High School. Her passion for ceramics has led her to wanting to awaken that passion in others!
ERIN LATHAMAn adjunct professor of Art at OCCC, as well as an Art in Schools teacher at FAI. She has exhibited her award winning work across the country. Erin earned an MFA in Printmaking from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and a BFA in Studio Painting and Printmaking from OU.
GARY LENNONAn award-winning artist with very devoted students. Gary is a professional artist who loves to paint murals, portraits & landscapes. Gary is also an instructor at Francis Tuttle Technology Center and has been an instructor with FAI over 15 years.
LIZ PARHAMA ceramic artist that loves to share the clay experience with others. She has taught ceramics and visual art at Edmond Memorial HS for the last 10 years. Liz received her B.A. Ed from the University of Central Oklahoma.
MIMI MASONAn accomplished Oklahoma City artist and teacher with a loyal following. Mimi is devoted to providing FAI students with a strong arts education. She has over 30 years experience in teaching, with 14 of those at FAI. Mimi studied at Santa Rosa Junior College and UCO.
ANGIE MYERSAngie has been teaching art from 3 years old up to adults for the last 9 years. She received her degree from UCO in graphic design. Her approach to teaching grows from a love to create, learn and share all things art while fostering creative thinking with process based artwork. Angie is also an Art in Schools instructor.
LISA ROBINSONLisa’s energy and talents have graced the FAI for many years! Lisa has a B.A. in Art Education from University of Kansas as well as graduate work in special education, illustration and art therapy.
JON MARTINDALEJon loves all facets of art and enjoys encouraging others to pursue art. He is a painter and sculptor receiving his BFA degree with an emphasis in oil painting from UCO.
JACKIE NELSONJackie is a K-12 visual art specialist. Her creative lesson plans include a variety of mediums: sewing, quilting, mixed media, printing, painting and sculpture. She is part of our Art in Schools program faculty and she received her BA in Art Education from UCO.
SONDRA REIDSondra is an experienced and talented teacher, She brings her love of teaching to our youngest FAI students. She is part of the design team at Silverleaf Gems and has also studied at UCO.
BERT SEABOURNBert is an Oklahoma native and internationally acclaimed American Expressionist painter, print maker, sculptor and teacher. Bert’s works are in public and private collections around the world.
BRENT PEDERSENBrent’s theatre experience entails directing, stage managing, set design, and performing in Edmond/OKC. He joins the FAI staff as our new Performing Arts Director. Brent received his BFA from Oklahoma Christian University.
MANDY STEWARDMandy is a writer, blogger, and artist. Mandy joined FAI as an Art in Schools instructor, she received her BA in Communications, Journalism, and English from Milligan College
THOMAS STOTTSThomas is a native Oklahoma artist whose work is influenced by OK’s thunderstorms rolling across the plains. He brings a love of wide open landscapes and sky with his unique style of painting. Thomas earned his BA from UCO.
An accomplished and award winning professional artist specializing in portraiture and figurative subject matter in hyper realism. He works in an array of mediums, primarily in oils, charcoal & pastels.
