Cartooning with John

Class includes a brief history of cartoons and a variety of cartoon formats and topics. Come create your own cartoon in panel or comic book formats. Ponder and produce story boards and practice writing captions and text. Instructor: John Campbell

Art Studio with Gary

Study with Gary Lennon in a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere. In this class students may use the medium and subject matter of their choice. With encouraging, one-on-one instruction techniques, Gary will help students rise to new levels of skill. Students of all artistic abilities are welcome…using pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, oils or acrylics. Please bring project ideas and your preferred supplies the first session. This class is for students who have taken a previous class from Gary. Instructor: Gary Lennon

Mixed Media Masterpieces

Students will create masterpieces in a variety of media based on a different theme each week. Themes will include the changing fall landscape, colorful cartoon characters, and master artists. Come create mixed media magic with us! Instructor: Erin Latham

Playful Pets

This session is a trip to the pet store as we are inspired by all the different animals we have as pets. From painting puppies collaging cats to printing parakeets .. it is bound to be a fun and creative time. Instructor: Angie Myers Winter II only

After School Art with MiMi

This year long class is a unique art program designed to engage and educate homeschool children in the creative process. The classes are comprised of the elements and principles of design, building student's visual vocabulary and critical thinking skills, while creating original art. Students will explore art history, art appreciation, and a variety of art techniques over the course of the year including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and more. Students love learning the expressive and technical aspects of art as they create art tailored to their individual skill levels. A detailed outline of the course and supply list is available online. Art Escape Camp

Art Escape Camp is a FAI tradition where kids enjoy a week filled with creative workshops in the visual arts. Students will rotate through 4 workshops each day where they will draw, paint; create with clay, mixed media and more. The FAI faculty, composed of professionals certified in their areas of expertise, creates an environment which makes learning fun and enhances self-esteem. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt. Please bring a sack lunch each day.
