Statewide Youth Impressions Juried Art Show

by | Jan 3, 2019 | News

The Edmond Fine Arts Institute hosts the Youth Impressions Juried Art Show each year in Edmond. This show is a great way for young artists to display and show off their masterpieces. This year’s Juror is Romy Owens. Romy is an artist and curator from Enid, Oklahoma. She makes site-specific installations, as well as smaller objects, in reaction to place, community, and transformation. Both Owens’ artistic and curatorial practices are presently centered around community art designed to impact social change, using art as a method to broaden our understanding of specific issues. She is the Co-founder of Current Studio and her art is part of private, public, corporate, and museum collections. She holds an MA in Photography and a BA in Media Studies. We are so honored to have Romy as the Juror this year and look forward to working with her!
