Saturday Art Classes

Dog (or cat) Days of Summer. Artists learn how to create fun drawings and paintings of their pet or favorite animal.  A variety of materials will be used including: oil pastel, paint, chalk, and canvas.

  • Days of Summer

Artists  learn the basics of hand building and throwing on a potter’s wheel. Each student has the chance to throw several pieces on the wheel. This is a great class for beginners or students that have had previous spinning experience. ( 8 student maximum) Instructor: Jackie Nelson

  • Kid's Spinning - Clay

Artists create paintings and drawings inspired by hot air balloons using a variety of materials including: colored pencils, chalks, oil pastels, paint and canvas. Instructor: Jackie Nelson

  • Up, Up and Away

    10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Artists use kiln fired clay to create several vessels. A variety of techniques including pinch, slab, and coil methods are used. Pieces will be glazed and ready for pick up after firing. Instructor: Jackie Nelson

Artists create several works of art representing ‘October’ around the world. Discover how artists have capture the season from different locations using a variety of materials including: oil pastel, paint, collage papers, and more to create pieces.  Instructor: Jackie Nelson

Artists create holiday inspired projects like a witches caldron, Frankenstein box, and a Dia de La Muertes Sugar Skulls using a variety of techniques including pinch, coil, and slab. Pieces can be picked up after firing.   Instructor: Jackie Nelson
