Painting with a palette knife produces quite a different result than painting with a brush and is an excellent tool for producing heavy textured work. Thomas Stotts will teach and “model” his step by step technique as you create a painting of an old, stone cottage style building or an old adobe structure. You will learn composition, perspective, how to work the paint “wet to wet” and how to let the paint slide off the blade on the preceding layer of paints. You will learn to manipulate the knife as you paint each phase of your painting.
