Kid’s Clay on the Wheel

In this new “hands-on” clay class, students will learn the basics of working on the pottery wheel. Class size is limited to 8 to insure one on one instruction. Explore creating bowls, cups and a variety of other objects. Instructor: Liz Parham

Clay for Kids/Basic Ceramics

Learn the "fun"damentals of creating in clay. Learn new clay techniques and the fun of glazing. Learn hand building, slab construction, coiling and sculpture. Take your pottery art to the next level. This is a great class for all levels of experience. Instructor: Kate Kettner

Artists will create a woven basket using strips of clay. Slab and coil techniques will be taught in this class.

Artists will study and discuss different bugs like butterflies, lady bugs, beetles, and praying mantis . We will create bug inspired projects using a variety of materials.

Clay with the Masters

Artists will create clay projects inspired by masters like Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Picasso and Matisse. Each class will focus on a different artist/ style.

Thursday, June 14: Van Gogh We will make a Starry Night tile and vase with sunflowers

Saturday, June 23: Monet We will make water lilies and poppy field plates

Thursday, July 12: Picasso We will make clay faces and blue guitars

Saturday, July 14: Degas We will make Ballerina figures and horse jockeys

Saturday, August 4: Matisse We will make clay name collages and clay cut out fish bowls
