June Gallery

Gallery Opening:

Thursday, June 1st

As a colorist and painter of 15 years, Ardith Goodwin specializes in mixed media acrylics and watercolors. Her figurative and abstracts works of art share a common visual language of fractured lines, dynamic energy, transparent layers, movement, and story.

“Dream In Color” is a figurative show combining works on paper and canvas, showcasing smaller studies of characters that she uses to combine into her larger, imaginative works on canvas and illustrations. The range of freedom in these works gives the viewers a first hand look into the concept of ‘random cohesiveness’ which Ardith embraces when she builds unexpectedly odd characters and settings.

She paints full time at her Ardithian Arts Studio in Mobile, Al., travels the U.S. teaching adult art classes, and is represented by Gallery 43 in Roswell, Ga., Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Michigan, and Lyons Share Art Gallery in Fairhope, Al. You can view her work as well at and visit her studio at 1260 Dauphin St., Mobile, Al. 36608.
